My roommate and I have been running at least 3-4 days a week for a little over a month and the progress is noticeable.

Although our sessions usually covers 6+ miles, we don't run the whole time.

Our next goal is to be able to comfortably finish 1.5 miles without stopping. We did so last week with considerable ease, so we will time the next one.

Might be nice one day to run a 5K marathon, and more...

I just started running this summer. I had really never done it before apart from sports at school but that's 15-20 years ago. Anyway on Sunday I was able to finish the 10k Yokohama Marathon in just under 56 minutes. I was pretty pleased with myself. I know it isn't so fast but I'm thinking of doing the half marathon next year and possible a few more 10k before then.
Keep it up.

that's awesome rude retro... are you in japan? yokohama, japan? i came into the world somewhere in that city ...

10K in 56 minutes is awesome!

i gotta question. sure its only been a month for me, but does the soreness in the muscles ever stop? im always sore/cramped.

Yep, Yokohama Japan. Did you live here long?

I think the muscle thing eases off after a while. I don't know how old you are but I have heard the older you get the longer it takes for your body to recover. I ran on Sunday but I think I have just recovered today (Thursday morning) but Sunday was longer and harder than usual for me.

Other than that I think if you keep it up the muscle pain should start easing up this month as long as you continue running. Remember to take a break some days though.

Awesome man. I was only there for the first 5.75 years of my life after birth, then my family moved to Tennessee.

How did you end up there? Are you Japanese?

I came over here after 2 years in Australia but I'm from Ireland. Been here since 2001. You should put some money together and come over to "find yourself". Yokohama's a pretty cool place with easy access to Tokyo. I actually go to Tokyo 4 days a week for work.
Do you know where in Yokohama you lived?
