So... I dont have TV, I dont listen to the radio, and I just recently cancelled the internet at home. It's peculiar because I graduated college with a degree in Radio Television / Mass Communications.

I treat myself to a dinner at my favorite mexican restaurant last night and they had CBS news on, and a expert was reporting on the super cell storm that caused some tornadoes in the south. It was entertaining to me and great fodder for the masses looking to be wagged.

The questions by the in house reporter began with

"Do you think this is normal during this time of year?"

Of course, this is a loaded question, and I can feel the dull cow eyed masses out there being planted with the seed of fear. The expert goes on to explain, that indeed, it is NOT NORMAL. OH NOES!!!

"Is this because of GLOBAL WARMING?"

I 'LOL-ED' on that one. I appreciate Al Gore, I appreciated him before he lost the last election cause he TAUGHT at MTSU and I was a camera operator in his telebroadcast courses. He was very charismatic and a great speaker. Still this question seemed to be tainted with fear monging with a twist of political waggyness. All of a sudden, Global warming has become the next fad in social responsible hipness concurrent with hating Bush. Sup wit that? The American society in general is a bunch of sheep looking be told what to think about. Apparently it seems, everyone is overtly promoting global warming which is synonymous with Al Gore, who invented the internet.

I hate the news. Though it did entertain me last night. I tuned in, then tuned out as I enjoyed my high calorie Chimicanga salad and diet soda.... diet soda high in aspartame which causes cancer in rodents! How dare they!? Purposely cause cancer in rodents... Actually its ok. The rodents probably enjoyed the copious mountains of sugary cancer snack. (Who set my health agenda?) Regardless I imagine the next question by the reporter was

"Do you think, this might signify the end of the world?"

"My expert opinion is that yes, Unless the American public adopts a faux socially responsible stance whilst driving their earth eating SUVs, gorging themselves on super huge portions of fatty fat fatness, and honoring their one mighty and supreme God, that the Middle Eastern Terrorists will use such inhumane tactics as Global warming to insight jihad/holy war on the US."

BTW, Im glad RIGHT NOW in the US, it's OK to be openly racist against those darker skinned people from the desert whose culture we have yet to understand. It's great because regardless of if they are from India, Greece, Iraq, Iran, etc currently if they have darker than white skin, a beard and black hair, it's OK to be racist to them. Racism is funny right? I think it is. Im also a mixture of two races, SO YES, ALL OF YOU, I have innate permission to find racism funny without judgement. Im being sarcastic. But it IS like that joke, where there are a 100 pencils on one side of the room, and there an ink pen on the other, and I go sit with the 100 pencils and point and laugh at the pen. Thats funny... because its ridiculous.
